Library Staff and Library Board of Trustees

Library Staff

Library Assistants are…

Cindy Krett, who started in 1992 and recently celebrated 30 years with the Mondovi Public Library. She is the assistant seen most often in the library and has been invaluable over the years. Cindy helps run the book club, does reader’s advisory, catalogs and processes most of our items, works on collection development, and keeps our library spotless.

Sarah Cook comes to us from the Fairchild Public Library where she served on their Library Board of Trustees. She is a strong library advocate and works with circulation, cataloging and other projects as needed. She has been instrumental in organizing the library shelving system, creates beautiful displays, and does a ton of work on our back-end.

Dani Soha is our youth services library assistant. In addition to providing a weekly Story Time, she also works the circulation desk, and performs any other task as needed. She has brought StoryTime to the park as well as hosted our first Student Poetry Contest!

Board of Trustees

The Mondovi Public Library is governed by a board of directors according to the powers and duties outlined in Wisconsin State Statutes, chapter 43.58. Board members are recommended for approval by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council. By law, one board member must be either the school district administrator or his/her designee. There must also be a City Council representative. Because of the size of our city, the Library Board may have up to two members who live outside of the municipality; all other members must reside in the city. The Library Board meets on the 1st Tuesday of the month at 4:30 pm in the City Council Chambers at City Hall or at the Roger Marten Community Center.

Our current Board members are:

Terri Vettrus (President)

Kathy Stelzleni (Vice President)

Ginny Gunderson (Finance Secretary)

Heidi Weber (Recording Secretary)

Jeff Rykal (School Superintendent)

Kristi Schultz

Judy Weishaar

Everyone in the public is encouraged and welcome to attend all the Board of Trustee meetings.

If you are interested in assisting the library with the Capital Campaign, please contact Terri Vettrus for more information. We would love to have you!
