We have completed our schedule for Take-and-Make Projects for early fall. The schedule is available on our Facebook page as well as in the library. The upcoming projects for kids are popsicle stick photo frame, color spinners, paper tube bird feeders, balloon rockets, Mo Willems pigeon, paper bag scarecrow, and ‘make-a-monster’. Upcoming projects for teens are pony bead geckos, rock photo holders, tissue paper painting, straw weaving, little luminaries, and Halloween slime. Finally, the upcoming programs for adults are bottle cap sunflowers, fall leaf banners, and quilled paper pumpkins. All these Take-and-Make Projects are free to customers, include most, if not all, of the supplies required to complete the project, and will be handed out until supplies are gone. The new projects will be put out on Mondays, so be sure to stop by and get yours.
Speaking of activities, we still have some PBS Wisconsin summer activity booklets left to hand out! PBS Wisconsin kindly donated 75 booklets to the Library and we have handed out a majority of them already. If you have not gotten one yet and would like to, please ask at the circulation desk next time you are in the library.
The Library will be participating in the City of Mondovi’s Grand Opening Celebration for Mirror Lake Parks on Sunday, August 30th. We plan, weather permitting, to do an outdoor craft for all ages. We chose this craft because the supplies can be sanitized between users. If you are going to the celebration, be sure to stop by the Library booth and check it out. We will also have magnets with our new library hours on them and some other brochures and pamphlets for you to grab. If you are interested in potentially volunteering to help with our craft, please let Katelyn at the Library know. We are still in the planning stages, but extra hands are always appreciated.
There are only two weeks left until the Library changes its regular hours. The new hours will begin on September 8th, right after Labor Day. We will be open Monday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Tuesday, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.; Wednesday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Thursday, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.; Friday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.; and Saturday 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. We will be closed on Saturdays each year Memorial Day to Labor Day. We have refrigerator magnets with our new hours on them available upon request at the circulation desk.
The Library is currently open with modifications Monday–Thursday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., and Friday 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. If you have any questions, please contact the library.
