The Library gained a new database with the new year called Creativebug. Calling all crafty and creative persons to check out this vast new database. Creativebug gives you access to 1,000+ art and craft classes for artists and makers of all levels. Creativebug is your go-to resource for high-quality, on-trend arts and crafts instructional videos. They also include downloadable patterns, full lists of supplies and more. Activities include drawing, painting, sewing, knitting, crochet, quilting, baking and more! All classes are taught by experts and new classes are added daily.
How to access Creativebug. First you will need a valid Winding Rivers Library card. Head on over to our website, www.mondovilibrary.org, and click on the resources tab. Select Creativebug from the page and log in with your library card barcode number (no spaces) and your pin number. When you sign up for a card the library defaults your pin number to the last 4 digits of your phone number. If it is your first time on Creativebug, you will need to create a username and password. After that, explore all that Creativebug has to offer! You can search by type of activity, theme of activity and more. Classes on Creativebug typically include a supplies list, and if applicable, pattern downloads. Classes range from 10 minutes to four hours and the creative possibilities feel endless. Check out Creativebug for free with your library card.
Check out some of our other databases, such as Gale Courses and Reference Solutions. Take a peek at Badgerlink too, which has a vast number of databases available through the State of Wisconsin, such as Wisconsin Newspaper Archive, Consumer Reports Magazine, PBS Wisconsin Education, and Wisconsin Historical Society Family History Records – just to name a few. There are so many things to explore and feel free to contact the library or stop by if you have any questions or need help using the databases.
